in Florence with a special project, the Rodarte sisters are currently holding an exhibition at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles
called States of Matter
, presented by Swarovski. The exhibition features pieces from Rodarte’s runway collections, as well as original ballet costumes designed for the film Black Swan. For those of you who cannot make it, have a look at the exhibition here

is a platform for fresh talent that is known for creating projects involving big brands and young creative minds. Their renowned fashion competition will be taking place in July. Aspiring designers need to send in their entries by March the 25th. About 10-15 finalists will be selected to come to Trieste, Italy on 15-16 July 2011 for a collective fashion show and prize ceremony.
The Women's Rights Demonstration
2011 marks the date of the 100th year anniversary of the women’s rights demonstration that took place in 1911 in Vienna. To commemorate this event, a so called Guerilla Knitting Action will be organised by KnitHerStory
- women will knit and dress
the streets on the route of the original demonstration. A big open-air Women’s Rights Breakfast will be held at around 10am
